Kavalan broke the prejudice that whiskey could not be produced in subtropical climate regions and became the best whiskey distillery in a short period of time. Kavalan Distillery, Taiwan's first whiskey distillery, started as a whiskey startup in 2005 with a passion for whiskey and has now quickly grown into a globally influential distillery and whiskey. Kavalan Distillery is located in Yilan County, northern Taiwan, which boasts a natural environment. Kavalan takes its name from the old name of Iran and the indigenous people who lived there, the Kavalan people. Kavalan whiskey is made by utilizing the year-round clear and abundant water and natural resources of Iran's Snow Mountain, Taiwan's subtropical climate, and the micro climate of Kavalan's 5-story purge warehouse, allowing the flavor of the cask to quickly and deeply permeate into the whiskey concentrate.
