BOISSIER

Brand details
Boissier was created in Paris in 1827 by pastry chef Bélisaire Boissier. It is a gourmet brand famous for Candied Chestnut, Ball Candy, Chocolate, and Tea, which has nearly 200 years of history and inherited traditional recipes. In the 19th century in Paris, there was a trend of carrying candy when going to the theater or opera, and Boissier was the center of attention. It was a favorite place of Victor Hugo, the author of Notre-Dame de Paris and Les Miserables, and appeared in his works as well. The excellence of Boissier products was also mentioned in novels such as Alexander Dumas of The Count of Monte Cristo, which won the Goncourt Prize, France's most prestigious literary award, and naturalist writer Émile Zola.
