Kamiki whiskey is made in Nara Prefecture, said to be the birthplace of Japanese sake. It means "Breath of God (KAMI) (IKI)" in Japanese. It contains the meaning of alcohol made with the sacred wind blowing from Mt. Miwa located in Nara. Kamiki whiskey is a ‘blended malt whiskey’ that uses only barley malt, unlike other Japanese blended whiskeys that mix other grains such as corn and wheat. It is characterized by maturing in Japanese cedar and cherry trees to demonstrate the originality of Japanese whiskey.
